How To Post A Topic Or Reply To One - Luna. - 05-08-2020 To reply to a topic, simply click, the button that says "New Reply" this will take you to a the full full reply page. This page has access to the smiles and the BBCodes as well. ![]() This differs from "Quick/Fast Reply" in that the quick reply has limited access to these things. After you have typed out your post, you can click the "Preview Post" button which will show you what your post looks like so far, or you can simply scroll to the bottom and click "Add Reply" and it will post your reply to the topic and redirect you to the newest post in the topic. If you just want to quickly post a reply to the topic, in the same window, then you can use "Quick/Fast Reply". ![]() This works similar to "Add Reply" except that, instead of it taking you to the reply page where you'd have access to BBCodes and Smilies, (if you have javascript enabled in your browser) then a small window will open at the bottom and in it you can post what you want to say and then click the "add reply" button at the bottom of the window, and it will automatically post your reply to the topic. If you want to use smilies in your quick reply, then you'd have to have to click the "Show Smilies Pop Up Window" link and this page will open up and you will see every smilie we use on this forum. Simply click on the one you want and the code for it will show up in your post. Now, let's say that you decided that you want to use the Full reply window I mentioned above, all you have to do is click the "More Options" button and it will save your existing post in the "post preview" window and take you to the full reply screen. This is what you'll see once you click the "Preview Post" button. If you scroll a bit, then you will see the preview window and the full reply area. This is to demonstrate that you won't lose your post when you click the full reply button. ![]() From there, you can continue working on your post and follow the instructions above to post. To post a new topic, simply click the "New Thread" button and then post as you would as if you were replying to a topic, and then scroll to the bottom and click the "Post Thread" button instead.

To post a new poll, scroll down and click the box next to "I want to post a poll." ![]() Then type in the number of options you'd like your poll to have. (The max is 10.) Next, click the "Post Thread" button as you were posting a new topic, to be taken to the "New Poll" window. ![]() Here, you can enter a topic title, or question for example, let's say that your poll is about peanut butter, except, where it says poll question, you post what you want your poll question to be. Since it is about peanut butter, your question would be: "What kind of peanut butter do you like?" You can always repeat the topic question, in the poll question area, or you can have them separate and put something else, it's really up to you. In the Poll Options section, you list your poll choices on a separate line. Again, since your poll is about peanut butter, your choices would be like this. Like this. Creamy Crunchy Both Neither Other.. ![]() After that, scroll down to the "Options" area. ![]() In this area, you will have 2 additional options. 1. You can choose whether or not your poll should be single or multi-choice. With this option selected, users will be able to choose more than one option, instead of just one. 2. You can also choose whether or not you want your poll to be public, with this option selected, people will be able to see each other's votes. Next, go down to the "Poll Timeout" section. ![]() In this area, you can set how many days your poll will remain open. This setting will keep your poll open for whichever time you specified, before locking itself from new votes. For the sake of discussion, it is a good idea to leave this at zero, this way other users can record their votes, and add to the topic. After you have made the changes you wanted, you can now click "Post New Poll" to post your poll. the area beneath the BBCode buttons that is similar to the Add Reply page. In this area, you can either repeat the poll question, or post follow up questions to your poll. Since this poll is about peanut butter, you can use this area to post the following.. "What kind of peanut butter do you like? What is your favorite brand? Why do you like it?" Once you are finished, scroll to the bottom, and click the button at the bottom that says "Post New Poll." After that, it will submit your post and take you to the poll you just created. Your poll should look like this.
